Marinated trout in olive oil
A simple recipe with the 2 most typical products of Lake Garda, trout and extra virgin olive oil.
Ingredients
- For a trout of about 1 kg:
- 3 lemons
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Croutons and rocket for accompaniment
Instructions
- Fillet the trout and carefully lay the fillets in a tray that does not leave many empty spaces;
- Season with salt and freshly ground pepper;
- Wet with lemon juice;
- Cover the fillets completely with extra virgin olive oil;
- Leave to macerate in a cool place for at least 24 hours.
- When it is time to serve, cut the fillets into thin slices and accompany with warm bread croutons and rocket.
Notes
A fresh, dry white or rosé wine is suitable.
