Braised beef in Valpolicella
Classic recipe of our tradition in its simplest form
Ingredients
- 500 gr Beef Knuckle
- 2 carrots
- 2 onions
- 1 bottle Valpolicella
- salt pepper,
- vegetable broth
Instructions
- Brown off the bell in a pan with oil and butter on all sides
- deglaze with red wine
- add carrots and onions, coarsely chopped
- add broth and cover almost the piece of meat
- bake at 180 degrees x 3 hours
- cut and serve, and enjoy your meal
Notes
The braised in Valpolicella is a classic recipe of our tradition that should be served with mashed potatoes (purèe) or polenta. Simple to make but a good result depends on the quality of the ingredients and the care in the slow cooking.
